The frequency of the

The frequency of the scanning can be up to 1.2MHz. You can either get 1) quartz oscillator or 2) microcontroller like Atmega, CPLD with built in oscillator.

I have used Fox XPressO

I have used Fox XPressO crystal oscillator 768-48-2 in my bar code scanner design to drive microcontroller and other digital equipments, and it worked very well. I hope this will serve your purpose also.

Dear Mr.Mark,  I would

Dear Mr.Mark,

I would definitely go by the word as Mr. Bruce said, FOX XPressO Crystal oscillator are better in performance and accuracy. I have used the FOX XPressO Crystal in few boards which required accuracy and performance, so try FOX XpressO Crystal for your design.

FYI Fox provides you FREE SAMPLES so you can go ahead with FOX Oscillators.

Best Regards,

Chetan.
