Dear Mr. Manish,
Has your client finalized the type of lighting that they are looking for. The lighting is to be essentially classified into functional, architectural & decorative.
We will be interested in your project & request you to kindly supply more details. We can supply the lighting with a minimum of 3 year warranty including the power supplies for SSL
We at Pearlled Inc. would
Some feedback on some LED
Some feedback on some LED lightings ;
For area lighitng, anything more than 5m in height is not worth spending on for LED is you will not get the sufficient throw from the source. You will need more than 200W of LED and you got to ensure proper thermal management of lights
For general lightings, watch out for those T5/T8 whom many claims that last 50k hours....get them to provide the lifespan graph (L70 graph) of the LED itself which give information at which temp, the LED will last for what number of hours.
I have worked with a major mall here and this is what I have experieneced.
Thanks Every one for their
Thanks Every one for their suggestions!
However, I totally agree with Joseph Kang. Same is the scene at this side with my client - when I suggested from all of your postings to them - they replied that, they discussed with few other shopping malls here in India having SSLs. Most of them have faced the similar problem that the Light is not sufficient to cover the area. Finally, they have dropped their idea of going with SSLs for this project.
I shall thank you again for your valuable suggestions.
Regarding #4: SSL or
Regarding #4: SSL or anything else pertains to science, not speculation. Once the project engineer (who is supposed to know about lighting) has determined the light intensity, he should be able to figure out the luminous flux needed. For a given flux and intensity, LED is currently the best lighting device, with increasing efficacy (200 lm/W has been achieved, albeit not commercialized) No other device attain such lighting efficacy. Why not publish your spec andlet the experts propose their solution. Is Kang the best lighting designer in the world? I doubt it.
Regarding #5 Hi
Regarding #5
Hi Tranh,
I appreciate your frank feedback. I am stating from my experience I had done. While SSL is moving from low power lightings to high power lightings, some challenges still exist. Like you say, LED achieving 200lm/W ... this is based on lab testing.and not mass production. Fluorescent has also attained this level has not gone into production ? I am been realistic on what is available vs what is from the lab. I agree that this may one day become production but till then, we have to see what mass production can provide. By the way, for area lighting, cost saving does not come from efficacy alone ; it comes from maintenance also. I also does my own design and manufacturing of LED lightings and therefore understand the challenges the market face. I agree with you that from understanding the specs will one give more professional and detail advise....trust me...I am not the best designer in the world...
Regarding #6The LEDs I
Regarding #6The LEDs I purchase have an efficacy of over 100 lm/W. Others have bought more efficace LEDs. Professional engineers work with spec, science, and knowledge. I for example designed portions of the Tomahawk cruise missile. Google "tranh solar" or "tranh amplifier" to see the many awards I have received. ANd in April, one more award will be bestowed upon yours truly. But I will make that known when it becomes public information.

Wesley, can you provide
Wesley, can you provide your website address, where I can see your products.
Tranh, Rajendera, Joseph: Your suggestions have built confidence in me to take your products to other Builders and Architectures.
However, I work on commission basis and will try to find out some deals for you.
I have now found that lot of Experts and SSL manufacturers available at SSL Exchange.
Thank you all!
Hi Wesley, I am more than
Hi Wesley,
I am more than happy to be of assitance. Does your client have a fixture list yet? We can help with both indoor and outdoor lighting. All of our products are made in the USA with high power LEDs.
Thank you,
